I started off the month with my company's Christmas party at French Lick. I'm kicking myself now because I didn't take one picture the entire night. The hotel and grounds were beautifully decorated for the season. We all had a great time and it was a good way to get into the holiday spirit.
For the last few weeks, I have had all these ideas of treats I could make to pass out and to have on hand for our annual Florida trip...finding more and more everyday thanks to Pinterest. I actually put some of those finds and ideas to use. I made sugar cookies using inspiration from Callye from Sweet Sugarbelle, 6 minute microwave caramels peppermint bark, chocolate covered pretzels, and chocolate cover oreos (some with peppermint chocolate). I wish I had more time and energy to make more treats, but they'll have to wait until next year.
Last weekend, I was lucky enough to get to see a dear friend from college. Dana was in from Louisiana for the holidays and even though I missed it due to work, she had a baby shower. I did, however, make it down to Evansville to see her some that day! It was great to get to catch up with my next door neighbor from Rabb 1!! I can't wait to meet little Reid the next time I see her!
I'm sure this week is going to c r e e p by. The end of the week is where the fun is at....Kate's basketball game on Thursday, Allison comes home on Friday, and Saturday we're having lunch with my Papaw for Christmas before coming home to have our family Christmas that night. We'll have Christmas with the Condra side on Christmas day before some of us leave for Destin, headed to Hammock Heaven.
If I don't make it back for more posts between now and then, have a safe and merry Christmas everyone! Safe travels to all!
