Everyday Hair Routine

I thought I would share some of the products that I love for my hair.  I have thick, curly, and often times very frizzy, hair.  I have problems with massive tangles when my hair is this long.  They get pretty bad in one particular spot on the back of my head.  It would take me 30 minutes just to comb my hair out after a shower.  Here are some of the products that work best with my hair.  What products do you use?

Since I tend to switch shampoos/conditioners a lot, I started with my post-shower steps.  The first thing I do is spray It's a 10 throughout my hair.  This product has been a game changer for me.  Wyatt's mom gave me a little bit to try after hearing about my tangles.  I was blown away at how great it is for tangles, frizz, heat protector, etc., etc.

After I have applied that product, I brush my hair.  Yes, you read that right, I brush my hair.  That is something rarely done by me for a long time.  If you have curly hair, you will understand that one.  Brushing curly hair (wet or dry) generally makes it looks worse.  I found the Wet Brush though and it is amazing for detangling my long, unruly locks. I seriously love it!  It takes about 5 minutes to go through all of my hair.  Take that tangles!

I generally let me hair air dry for 10 - 15 minutes after brushing and then I apply more product.  I have been using Herbal Essences mousse and gel for a while now.  I tend to wear my hair curly the majority of the time so I go through these products pretty fast.  These have worked well for me over the last few years.

On the off day that I have decided I want my hair to be straight, I skip step three.  I let me hair completely air dry (I usually wash it the night before) and then use my CHI to straighten it.  I have had about 10 flat irons since I was a teenager.  This is the only one that has worked well and lasted.  It is well worth every penny I spend on it.
