Wyatt and I attended the
Starry Night Festival over on Purdue's campus over the weekend. I tried to go last year but rain had me changing my plans at the last minute. This year it looked like rain my prevent me from attending once again but even though it was pouring right after we left the apartment, the rains let up by the time we got over to campus and we managed to enjoy it without even a mist!

Hot House Market's booth was complete with a DJ and a sitting area. |
There were all kinds of vendors for handmade items to a vintage store, to hands on activities. The festival also brings in a few musical acts and has two stages set up at either end of the street. The best part of the event is that it's free and open to the public! The biggest thing that struck me was how many people were there! It is such a well attended event under a canopy of twinkle lights. They had a row of food trucks and Wyatt was sure to get some tacos from the
L Kora truck. We wandered around looking at vendor booths. There was a photobooth, people walking around taking polaroids, henna tattoos, a wish tree, and a few other hands on experiences. Wyatt grabbed some coffee from a coffee shop in the neighborhood and we made our way home. I was glad we made it out to see what the festival was all about. I'll be back next year (weather permitting of course) and will be sure to spend more time.
The next morning we got up and drove down to Indy to spend the day with some friends. There was a group effort to make biscuits and gravy for brunch while we watched the Colts game and then the Ryder Cup. I must admit that my favorite part of our trip was hanging out with Miss Harper who is very much mobile now. She didn't shy away from me and I found out she loves selfies.
