For Christmas this year, we were a bit less rushed. We decided to celebrate ourselves by going to a nice dinner in Indianapolis on the 23rd after work. We had dinner at
Bluebeard. It was our first time there and it definitely lived up to our expectations. It may be my new favorite in Indianapolis. We started out with the pickles as an appetizer. They were all delicious but our favorite by far was the avocado. I ordered the spaghetti and veal meatballs and Wyatt ordered wings and we shared an order of arancini. I also had a Kentucky Mule made with their homemade ginger beer. After a relaxing dinner, we drove to the circle to see the lights downtown before we drove back to Lafayette.
The next day, we did some last minute shopping. I have tried my hardest to break Wyatt of this habit but alas, we were still standing in Target on Christmas Eve. We went to his parents house in early afternoon and hung out with family before having Christmas dinner and opening gifts with everyone.
On Christmas morning, we got up and drove down to Southern Indiana for a day filled with my family. We first had lunch with my Easterday family at my aunt's house in Mitchell. After a few hours, good food, and many conversations, we drove ahead to Paoli to my Condra family get together. I feel like I don't get to see my family enough, so I enjoyed a day jam packed with my family! After an early dinner there, we traveled to my parents' house and enjoyed some desserts and snacks before we exchanged our gifts. We spent the night at my parents' house and returned home the next afternoon.

I am excited to have all of this week off from work as the college is closed. I do hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday with friends and family!
