Forecastle Festival Recap

Wyatt gave me Forecastle Festival tickets for Christmas so we could once again attend one of our favorite festivals on the riverfront in Louisville.  This was our fourth together! We always get a bit sentimental about it because it played a key role in getting us together back in 2012.  This year did not disappoint!  Overall, I think it was probably my favorite because there were just so many great sets, the weather mostly cooperated, and we just had fun!

Modest Mouse

We saw Lucero, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Kurt Vile & the Violators, Father John Misty, Modest Mouse, Margo Price, Jimmy Eat World, Jenny Lewis, Houndmouth, the War on Drugs, Chris Stapleton, White Reaper, Khruangbin, Oh Wonder, Punch Brothers, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Courtney Barnett, and Arcade Fire.  There were so many good sets but I think my top three are 1)Arcade Fire 2) Courtney Barnett and 3) the War on Drugs.

On Saturday morning we had breakfast with Wyatt's grandma in Clarksville.  We also had drinks at Garage Bar before heading into the Festival that day.  On Sunday we met up with our friend Justus to watch some of the World Cup final and have lunch at Feast.  It rained for a short amount of time while we were in the festival on Sunday but it wasn't too long before it quite and dried off.
