Cash Family Vacation Part Two

We left Yellowstone and drove down through the Tetons to Jackson, Wyoming.  We stopped at Jenny Lake on our way through.  It was a gorgeous day! We also stopped at the visitors' center to get my National Parks Passport stamped! Once we arrived in Jackson, we checked into our hotel and then explored town a little bit.  We browsed in some galleries and shops before having pizza for dinner at Hand Fire Pizza. The next morning Wyatt and I got up super early and drove into the park in hopes of seeing some moose but we were unsuccessful.  We did, however, see a dreamy sunrise that was so pretty. We had lunch at Moe's BBQ in Jackson before continuing on our trip to Park City for a couple of days.

We checked into our condo at Park City and Wyatt and I decided to have a date night.  We had dinner and drinks just down the street from our condo at High West Distillery.  It was SO good. We started with their pretzel appetizer and it came with the best beer cheese I've ever had! I started with a whiskey flight and Wyatt tried their Valley Tan Whiskey.  I had the burger and it was delicious!

The next day we started by touring Utah Olympic Park in the morning.  It was interesting to see where the 2002 Winter Olympic took place and learn more about the park as it sits today. After our morning there, we stopped and had lobster rolls at Freshies.  They were so, so good! I love a good lobster roll! That afternoon we made the drive into Salt Lake City to visit Temple Square.  It was very interesting to learn about the buildings and the religion a little more.  We had dinner at a restaurant back in Park City called Blind Dog.  I was able to get sushi! Yum.

We left Park City the next morning and drove south to Moab, Utah.  It was about a 4 hour drive.  Before we checked in to our Airbnb, we visited Dead Horse State Park and Canyonlands National Park.  The Cashes had never been to Moab so it was fun to show them some of the sites around.  When I heard we were adding a trip down to Moab to visit Arches National Park, I knew we had to add the other parks as well! Since it was hot in Moab, we tried to get into Arches NP very early the next morning so we could get our exploring in during the morning hours.  We spent about half the day there and then went back to the condo to cool off and begin packing.  We had dinner that night at Moab Brewery, a place my family has been a few times. The next morning we left Moab to drive back to Salt Lake City.  We drove through Provo and some pretty communities on the way back to the airport.  We caught an afternoon flight back to Indiana and made it home around midnight.  We were so excited to see our Sox when we got home after too long away from him!
