Wedding Wednesday: Bridal Shower Number 2

Today's Wedding Wednesday is a two post day because I had two bridal showers over the weekend! This morning I shared about my family shower that my mom threw for me and now I'm sharing the shower in Indianapolis that my sister threw for me for friends.  She hosted the shower at Peace Water Winery.  Their Mass Ave location is so darling.  We decided to do a less formal shower and do a display shower to give me more time to visit with guests.  That being said I still didn't get enough time with everyone.

Allison had the cutest touches using our engagement pictures.  She enlisted my dad to help make stands for them out of corks. She had a cake and cupcakes from my favorite bakery in Indy, the Flying Cupcake.  She also got more pretty sugar cookies.  She ordered them from a lady I have been following on Instagram for a while, Bop Baking Co. She had a charcuterie board and we sipped on wine and lemonades. Everything was perfect both days!

Wedding Wednesday: Bridal Shower Number 1

My mom hosted a bridal shower for me at my aunt's house for family last weekend.  I had both of my showers last weekend and wow am I still recovering! I am also feeling so much love from family and friends as we are about to start the next chapter of our lives together.  Thank you to everyone who traveled from near and far or sent along gifts for my showers.

Mom chose a travel theme for my family shower.  We are also incorporating some travel related things into our wedding so this was perfect! She really knocked it out of the park with the cutest little touches including asking guests to leave advice and well wishes on postcards! We actually considered this same idea for a guestbook alternative but in the end went another route for the wedding.  She also used many pictures from our travels as a couple throughout the shower.

Are these not the cutest cookies?

She had a couple of shower games planned including the ever popular make a wedding dress out of toilet paper. It was good for a laugh and then afterwards I opened gifts.  We got so many thoughtful gifts and family heirlooms.  My cousin even tied a ribbon rose onto my gift that was passed on to her from my mom.  My mom had originally received it on a bridal shower gift from my dad's aunt when my parents got married.  That brought me to tears.  I also go a sweet gift from my dad as well.
