And through the evening the engine kept on until we hit Chicago and decided to stop.

Sorry, it's been a while (a whole month!) since my last post.  I cannot believe how hectic life has seemed recently.  Instead of blogging, I was busy with work, friends, family, and custom orders in my Etsy shop.  So now I'm playing catch up.

For my birthday Wyatt gave me tickets to see Death Cab for Cutie at the Chicago Theatre on April 30th.  He managed to get really great seats (thanks to the release of more tickets and selling our original seats to one of my best friends).  He picked me up from work and we made our way up to the big city.  The best friend I mentioned that bought the old pair of tickets from us, Amanda, met us for dinner at Shake Shack.  I cannot begin to explain my happiness in getting to see my BFF for an impromptu visit! It was my first Shake Shack experience and yum!  I can't wait to have it again.

We walked over to the show with Amanda before parting ways when we went to our seats. Of course, we had to snap a couple of pictures first.

It had been six years since the last time I saw Death Cab for Cutie.  I had forgotten how great they are live.  And the Chicago Theatre.is.goregous.  It was a perfect mix of new and old songs.  I was completely in love with their performance of Transatlanticism. It blew me away.  We got to admire the city for just a bit on our walk back to the car after the show.  It really is such a pretty city, especially at night.
