To celebrate my mom's retirement, we took her to lunch and wine tasting.  We went to Bloomington for a lunch/brunch at the Uptown Cafe on Kirkwood right off the square downtown.  After our meal, we headed out to Oliver Winery to take part in a wine tasting.



We tasted several of their wines that I had never tried before.  The Cabernet Sauvignon was my favorite of the wines I tasted.  After our little tasting, we enjoyed walking around the grounds at the winery and looking at their gardens.  Allison and I gave mom a gift while we were walking around, a Kate Spade idiom bangle that read "Get Carried Away".  We felt it was fitting for the next chapter of her life.
