Back in February, Wyatt, Allison, and I went
home for a weekend before my birthday. We picked Allison up on our way
down south and headed for my Papaw's house.
We managed an afternoon visit
with him and my parents before going home to Washington. We had dinner at
Mi Pueblo (my favorite) and then Allison, Wyatt, and I went to see Jon
McLaughlin perform at my old high school.
Talk about weird. I had
not been in any part other than the gym since I graduated. After an
intimate show, we decided to wonder the halls and see how things had changed
since we left (they renovated not long after I graduated). Of course, since we
were there we also had to walk out on the gym floor. It is still hard to
believe we went to school and had that gym growing up.
We returned home
for delicious homemade chocolate cake made by mom for a little birthday
celebration. The next morning, we got up and headed back north. The three of us decided we would have a late lunch at Bakersfield on Mass
Ave. It was delicious and the perfect way to cap off an overall great
weekend with my family.

Hi Amanda! I came across your blog via The College Prepster; I noticed where you said you came from a small town in Southern Indiana. I actually am from the adjacent county (Pike County) next to Washington but go to school in Evansville at USI. It's a small world! :)
