As you may know, I
love me a good concert. What I love more is a good summer concert and
making an outing of it. Last summer we met up with my friends for a John
Mayer concert/mini reunion. This summer Wyatt and I are making a date
night out of it and going to see Ray LaMontagne tonight at the Lawn in
Indianapolis.
Dressing for outdoor
concerts in the summer can be tricky. It could be super hot, it could get
chilly, it could rain...you never know how to prepare until the day of the
concert and even then it can be a shot in the dark.

Here are some of the
things I would consider when planning out my outfit...
Will you be out
tailgating for a few hours in the sun before the concert? Don't wear
anything too clingy that would cause you to sweat and be uncomfortable.
(Hint: Make sure you have sunscreen on before you arrive to the venue.)
Do you have a lawn
ticket or pavilion/seated ticket? Sure that miniskirt looks cute on, but
try sitting down on the lawn with one on and you might rethink that decision.
Do you live in an area
where it's possible to get cool at night in the summer after a hot, HOT day?
I suggest layering. Wear a cute dress or shorts and then add a
denim jacket to keep you warm when the sun sets and the temps drop.
