I spent last weekend in Indianapolis and Bloomington with one of my best friends, Amanda. She and a few of her college friends flew in to Indiana for the wedding of one of their friends. I drove down after work on Friday and we ended up hitting some of Amanda's Bloomington favorites at their Indianapolis locations, Scotty's and Kilroy's! We had to all get long island iced teas at Kilroy's as a throwback to our college days! Since Amanda and her friends don't return often, we planned a day trip down to Bloomington on Saturday before the wedding. The weather turned from grey, damp, and drizzling to sunny and perfect when we got to Bloomington! We stopped for breakfast at Bloomington Bagel Company (best pretzel bagels with jalapeno schmear)! Then we stocked up on some IU gear before walking up to the Sample Gates and on campus for a bit. We ended our trip by spending 2.5 hours in Nicks. Jessi and Amanda played Sink the Biz for old time's sake.
We made our way back up to Indianapolis to get ready for the wedding festivities. Kathryn and Amber got married at the Mavris Arts and Events Center in downtown Indianapolis. The venue was so unique and interesting. Guests arrived in what felt like an art gallery, then were ushered up to a garden for the ceremony. Guests continued up to a cocktail hour on the third floor after the ceremony before the reception that was held back on the second floor of the facility. Their wedding was gorgeous and their vows were perfect. Congrats and best wishes to the happy couple!
