Allison and I celebrated Mother's Day with my mom last weekend so Wyatt and had his mom and grandfather over for brunch for Mother's Day. Wyatt took care of the menu and cooking that morning and I made cupcakes and decorated.
The weather was gorgeous today! Wyatt made a maple, bacon, and sweet potato hash with bacon on the side and fruit and yogurt parfaits. We visited for a while and then we all went outside to check out the garden. I wore my pineapple critter shorts from J. Crew Factory and my Lilly for Target pineapple sandals to go with all the pineapple serving pieces and pitcher that we used for the brunch. It feels like summer!
Before I am finished I want to wish a happy Mother's Day to my mom. I am so lucky to have her as my mother. She's taught me so much in life and I'm sure I'll continue to learn things from her for a long time. I found that one of our roses is blooming and it reminded me of her pretty roses at home. I am also excited about our roses and peonies and hope she can teach me how to care for them.
