"I am begging you to put yourself in Lauren's place. What would you want people to do for you?"The police have released some information on a truck that was spotted near where Lauren was last seen. The truck made multiple trips around the same block around the time when Lauren was walking back to her apartment. They are asking for any information that could lead to speaking to the driver of this truck. For now, I will keep praying for Lauren's family to have strength through this awful situation. They said today they were not sure when they would be returning home to New York. I am sure that it is almost impossible for them to imagine leaving Bloomington until they find Lauren.

Still Searching...
June 16, 2011
It's been two weeks now, and it seems like the police are still so far from solving this case. I have been reading every article, watching videos, and keeping up with the information daily. I wish there was something more I could do. Someone has to know something. I can only hope that with each new piece of information they gather, they are getting a little closer to finding Lauren. My heart breaks each day as the BPD holds a press conference only to say that they have no major leads to report on and even more so when this young lady's parents speak to the press. Today in the press briefing, Charlene Spierer, Lauren's mom said the following:
Please Help Lauren

I know that first of all, not many people actually visit and read my blog, and secondly the majority of those that do are not in Bloomington but I have to post this. It seems like so often I see reports on the news about missing people and am relatively unaffected. This time I am deeply saddened. I did not know Lauren, but she is a fellow Hoosier and that makes her part of my Hoosier family. She went missing just a few blocks from where I lived for a year until last August and in an area that I used to walk around in daily. I am feeling helpless not being in Bloomington to help with the search. This is just a little way I can try to help and get the word out. The power of social media can be overwhelming at times and in this case, I hope that some good can come from it. If anyone that sees this actually has any information at all no matter how insignificant you might think it is, please please please contact the Bloomington Police Department. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
