On our way to my Papaw's birthday party in southern Indiana, we had lunch with Allison in Indianapolis before the three of us made our way down to Paoli, with a pit stop in Bloomington for a quick photo op at IU. We tried a place that we hadn't been to yet, Fat Dan's Deli, a Chicago-style deli and pub. We went to the location on Mass Ave and we had so much food! Between the three of us, we had an order of dirty tots, an order order of smoked wings, Fat Dan's pork, a Chicago dog, a Chicago style pickle, and an order of the "best fries in the universe, or not." It was all so good. I had the pork sandwich and it was smoked to perfection. No sauce needed to enjoy but I did end up eating it with a fork instead of as a handheld. The atmosphere was fun and the food was great so I am positive we will be back!
After lunch, we started our journey from Indianapolis to Paoli but decided to make a quick stop (literally about 15 minutes) in Bloomington. Since we had Allison with us, I wanted her to take a picture of us since we both looked nice and it was a gorgeous fall day so we drove into town and stopped at campus for a few minutes. There was still a lot of green in the trees but it was so pretty anyway.
