John Mayer

Rounding out our week of concerts, we did something I hadn't done since I was in college.  We went to a stadium show.  I hadn't been to Bankers Life Fieldhouse for a concert since I saw the Who with Allison and Dad.  Ironically, Pino Pallandino was playing the bass at both.  We saw John Mayer for the first time in a few years and I was pumped! I was so excited to see him again.  We wanted to see Dead and Co this summer but had a house issue pop up that day that could not be put off.  I was glad we could at least still see John solo later in the summer.

He seems so much more mature and so happy with himself these days.  It was fun to watch him have fun. The Indy crowd sang and danced to every.single.song.  It didn't go unnoticed. The energy was definitely up a level for this show.

Pacers Game

Wyatt was supposed to go the Pacers game with his friend but his friend ended up being sick so Wyatt talked me into going with him.  I had wanted to go to a Pacers game this season but I wanted to go to one after things had settled down after the holidays.  So it didn't take much to convince me.  We were ahead by so much that we ended up leaving early so Wyatt could get me home earlier.  I think it was a good compromise!

I always love going to basketball games at Banker's Life! We got to watch former Hoosier, Victor Oladipo play there again...only this time as an Indiana Pacer!

Pacers vs. Magic

Wyatt's Spring Break is in full swing.  Last night we drove down to Indy when I got home from work to watch the Pacers play the Magic.  Wyatt is admittedly not a Pacers fan, but he does love Victor Oladipo, an IU alum who now plays for the Magic.  I was conflicted because I wanted the Pacers to win...but I wanted to cheer so hard for Oladipo.  The Pacers ended up playing one great game and had their biggest win of the season.  It was a fun one to watch.  Rodney Stuckey was on fire!

Seeing Oladipo sure did bring back some great Hoosier memories!

Pacers

Being the sports fanatic that Wyatt is, we made two impromptu trips down to Indy during the NBA playoffs for Pacers games.  The first trip was for the Pacers vs. Wizzards with Craig, Hilary, and Kolton.  We had a fun night even though our seats were quite high up. Pacers pulled out a nice little victory.

Since Wyatt is a huge Lebron fan, of course he wanted to see the Pacers play the Heat. He managed to buy some tickets an hour before the game started and we hopped in the car. These seats were much better.  It was an exciting game and the Pacers won!

Unfortunately the Heat managed to win the series sending the Pacers packing and the Heat to their 4th straight finals series.
