Surprise Engagement Party!

My friend, Kalysa, planned and organized a surprise engagement party for me! I was totally surprised! She had one of my best friends from home come up to visit and Nichole is the one that got me to the restaurant.  Kalysa even included my sister, mom, and Wyatt's mom in the day.  It was such an awesome afternoon! We had lunch at 9 Irish where Kalysa brought her polaroid camera and set up a photo booth! She made me the sweetest little book so that each person could put our picture in it and write me a message. After lunch the surprises continued.  We went to Painting with a Twist and had a class together. It was so fun! I love my friends so much and this really just made me so happy!

We've been friends since we were toddlers at the same daycare/preschool!

Kalysa thought of everything and made the day perfect!

Kalysa's Bachelorette Weekend

This weekend, we celebrated my gorgeous friend and bride-to-be, Kalysa with a day full of fun activities.  Traci did such a wonderful job planning a bridal shower brunch and then an afternoon and night full of fun activities.  We began with the brunch in Lafayette.  After a delicious brunch, a couple of shower games, and gifts, a group of us then went to Painting with a Twist for our private party.  We painted the cutest little bunch of peonies.  I had so much fun.  It was only my second time participating in a class like this and I have to say, I would definitely be open to doing more.

After we finished up our masterpieces, we all loaded up and made our way to Indianapolis. We checked into our hotel and got ready for dinner and a night out on the town.  Once we were all dress and ready to go, we had a little shower in one of the rooms and just some socializing until time for our dinner reservation.  We had dinner at Harry & Izzy's.  It's such a cute restaurant.  I had never been there before. I had the cucumber gimlet and a turkey burger.  I rarely get turkey burgers but this one was so good. I feel like often times when I get turkey burgers out at restaurants they are a bit dried out and overcooked but this one was perfect.  After dinner we went out on the town and went to two bars.

The next morning I met up with Allison to spend the day with her in Indy.  We grabbed brunch at Sahm's Tavern.  My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach.  We had so much food.  I could only eat about half of my meal.  After brunch we drove up to Holliday Park.  We had been wanting to see the newly open revitalized ruins.  It was such a gorgeous fall day, we ended up going over to Butler to see some of the new buildings on campus as well.  We walked around campus and visited some of Allison's old classroom buildings.  In her time there, I don't think I ever went in any of the classroom buildings with her.
