Fall at Indiana University

We took a day trip to visit my parents today and made a pitstop for bagels at Bloomington Bagel Company and a quick visit to the Sample Gates at IU. Fall on campus at IU is just so wonderful.  I wish we had more time to walk around but this quick stop was perfect after so much time away from campus this year.  The cream and crimson stripe mums were perfection!

We got to have another good socially distanced visit with my parents in their garage.  Thankful for the weather that allows us to still safely visit a little longer.

Annual Fall Golden Hour Date + Fall in Lafayette

We made time yet again to head out to Clegg Memorial Garden after work one evening to walk around and enjoy it at the golden hour when the foliage is pretty.  The weather was perfect for our date this year.  The trees were more vibrant than last year and it was such a nice and relaxing evening. They have made some great updates at Clegg since last fall.  I hope to make it back this Spring when the daffodils are blooming to enjoy it again!

We also recently spent some time out at the Celery Bog Nature Area in West Lafayette.  Wyatt took some family photos for our friends and I tagged along.  It was so warm and the leaves were just getting ready to turn.  I love this little area. It's so peaceful!

Exploration Acres

Over the weekend we visited Exploration Acres for the first time.  We met up with our friends on Saturday afternoon and had a fun-filled day! Our first stop was Exploration Acres for the maze but we had lunch and made candles after that too.  I had not been to a corn maze since I was in high school.  That was before they were such a popular destination in the fall.  They didn't have elaborate designs but they were just as fun.  Exploration Acres has so many fun features. It's the perfect outing for family and/or friends.  Along with several different lengths of mazes, they also have a pumpkin patch, hay rides, fire pits and a lot of other kid friendly activities that we did not check out.  They also have some food vendors on site so you can grab a snack or a meal if you want.  Next time we go I want to get a fire pit for a couple of hours!  Check another fall festive thing off my fall to do list.  I have been wanting to check this place out for a couple of years and I'm so glad we did!
