Annual Fall Golden Hour Date + Fall in Lafayette

We made time yet again to head out to Clegg Memorial Garden after work one evening to walk around and enjoy it at the golden hour when the foliage is pretty.  The weather was perfect for our date this year.  The trees were more vibrant than last year and it was such a nice and relaxing evening. They have made some great updates at Clegg since last fall.  I hope to make it back this Spring when the daffodils are blooming to enjoy it again!

We also recently spent some time out at the Celery Bog Nature Area in West Lafayette.  Wyatt took some family photos for our friends and I tagged along.  It was so warm and the leaves were just getting ready to turn.  I love this little area. It's so peaceful!

Annual Fall Golden Hour Date

I've posted about our outings to Clegg Memorial Garden over the years.  We try to go every fall and some times in the spring as well! When the leaves start turning the timing is just right for us to meet at home after work and head out to the trails by the golden hours.  The leaves weren't quite to all their colorful beauty when we went yesterday but we were afraid weather would prevent us from having another pretty day while the leaves were still on the trees.  I love going there in the fall though.  This is one of my favorite of our fall activities.

Also, can I just say how pretty our tree in our front yard is right now?  It won't be long before it's all vibrant red!

Golden Hour Autumn Date Night

We try to get to Clegg Memorial Gardens once or twice a year, usually in the spring and fall.  Last week we went straight after work one evening so we could catch it at the golden hour.  It's such a beautiful site at this time of day in the fall! I love take a quick and short little hike to overlook the Wildcat at sunset.

Sometimes we take a little picnic out there but this time we opted to meet up with friends for Mexican food! We got to see a lot of the kiddos and hang out for a while. How adorable is squishy little Hailah girl?!
