My newest ABC Family guilty pleasure is the show Chasing Life.  I make sure to watch every week.  It follows the life of a girl in her twenties who is finds out she has cancer and follows along through her fight.  I love it (Bonus: Cappie from one of my other ABC Family guilty pleasuers, Greek, aka Scott Michael Foster plays one of the main characters).  The whole cast is great.

Pretty Little Liars Returns Tonight!

The girls return tonight! I'm so excited that my guilty pleasure is making it's summer return!

Currently Listening: Songs from PLL

I have mentioned before that I am addicted to the television show, Pretty Little Liars. This season is starting to really heat up.  Of course the implied hints and cliffhangers are starting to get better and better because we're nearing the summer break.

Lately I have been noticing how great the show's creators have been at pairing music selections with scenes.  Literally almost perfect pairings.  Little known fact about me: I used to want to work in the industry pairing songs with tv shows, movies, commercials, etc.  I have quickly found a purchased several songs over the course of this season.  Here are some of my favorites.

Freight Train might be my favorite song placement so far this season. It played as Hanna was packing her mom's court clothes and seemed to convey the exact emotions the writers wanted Ashley to portray in Hanna's character through the mood and lyrics of the song and sound o the music.

A is a-l-i-v-e.

I will admit it...

Pretty Little Liars has become a guilty pleasure of mine.  When it first hit the air, I knew several people who swore up and down how good the show was but I would never listen.  I actually would not even watch an episode because I just knew it couldn't be any good.  Then right before the second season began, ABC Family aired a marathon of the first season as a lead up to the season two premier.  For whatever reason I watched part of one episode and was instantly hooked.  I have been watching every since...and I'm in such suspense every week!

The show has been stepping up their game in the music department as well.  Last week's episode included some really good music.  Take a listen....the Devil Within was played at the perfect time in the episode and helped create more suspense as the girls met the new detective (deja vu?).
